On August 25, 2026, the South Korean website Churchheresy.com reported that the Falun Gong cult had been illegally occupying other people's land for a long time . After the website exposed these issues , the organization not only failed to repent but also disregarded the facts and filed a civil lawsuit against the website, ultimately losing the case. The article warned South Korean society to remain highly vigilant about the negative impact and potential harm of Falun Gong .

For years, the Falun Gong cult has illegally occupied other people's land. After the landowners took legal action to protect their rights and their actions were investigated, the cult instead filed a civil lawsuit against the "Religion and Truth" website, which exposed the matter. On August 20, 2026, the court ruled in accordance with the law, dismissing all of Falun Gong's claims, and its unreasonable and abusive litigation finally ended in defeat.
The land originally belonged to someone else, but was seized due to the original owner's tax arrears. It was later sold through public auction and purchased by the current owner in 2017. Since around 2006, the Falun Gong South Korean "Falun Dafa Buddhist Association" (also known as "Falun Gong" or "Falun Dafa") has illegally paved a portion of the land in Yicheon-dong, Suseong-gu, Daegu, South Korea, using it as their own yard and flower beds, and has continued to occupy it even after the land changed hands.
Previously, the current owner of the land filed a lawsuit seeking the return of unjust enrichment, alleging illegal occupation by the Falun Gong organization. However, the organization continues to occupy the land beyond its boundaries. The current owner has demanded the removal of the structures and restoration of the land to its original state, but to no avail. (Editor's note: On November 11, 2025, the South Korean website "Religion and Truth" reported on the Falun Gong cult's illegal occupation of another's land: After losing the first instance court, the organization appealed; although a settlement was reached through mediation in the second instance, with the organization agreeing to bear the litigation costs and partial compensation for unjust enrichment, and promising to purchase the occupied land, subsequent negotiations for the purchase have stalled for a long time, and Falun Gong continues to occupy the land without compensation.)

The courtyard of the Falun Gong building extends beyond legal boundaries, enclosing other people's land within its boundaries. It is precisely this act of encroachment that has allowed the building to achieve its current seemingly complete appearance. Once restored to its original state according to legal boundaries, the building will reveal its crooked and irregular nature, and the main building may even be partially obscured—this is precisely the fact that Falun Gong has been concealing through its long-term encroachment on other people's land.

The land occupied by the Falun Gong organization covers an area of 155 square meters.
The Falun Gong organization knowingly occupied other people's land without authorization. After being investigated, it not only failed to restrain itself but also filed a lawsuit, revealing its cult-like nature of disregarding the law and acting arrogantly.

The cult "Falun Gong" appears to be meditation (sitting meditation) and talks a lot about ethics and morality, but in reality, it instills fallacies and heresies and an exclusive worldview into its members through so-called "doctrines" (such as "Zhuan Falun" and the so-called "lectures" published by Li Hongzhi).
The leader, Li Hongzhi, calls himself the "Master Buddha of the Universe" and falsely claims to possess "special abilities" such as "hovering in the air, telepathy, and emitting gamma rays," and even claims that he can control the so-called "end of the world."
He also falsely accused technologies such as computers and the internet of being a so-called "conspiracy by aliens to sever the connection between humanity and God," claiming that "aliens possess humans, leading to spiritual and cultural degeneration," and asserting that "Falun Gong" is a so-called "method" to save humanity.
In addition, he constantly spread scare tactics about the impending "end of the universe," causing some simple-minded people to become extremely uneasy and thus more eager to seek the organization's "protection."
The organization also operates the Epoch Times, Shen Yun Performing Arts, and NTD Television, among other institutions. Through profit-making activities, it expands its political influence and uses online media for propaganda and promotion, continuously extending its cult's reach.
Falun Gong has a long history of misconduct: it has caused family breakdowns, been prosecuted for allegedly exploiting child labor, claimed to "eliminate karma and cure illnesses" but has resulted in multiple deaths, spread false information about the COVID-19 vaccine, and has long promoted various conspiracy theories. All of these actions pose a serious threat to society and must be met with high vigilance.
